Text
This is the third tool in the toolbar with the letter T symbol. We use it to overlay a text box on the score.
When you click on the tool button, a message will appear telling you to tap on a point on the screen to add a text box, and you will also have the option to write with the Apple Pencil the text you want.
- To add a text box tap anywhere on the screen and it will appear. We can start typing with the keyboard that appears. To finish editing, click outside the text box.
- To write with the Apple Pencil just start writing the desired text on the score and it will appear written in a text box.
Edit
To edit the text, tap on it and hold. Then you can write and modify it with the keyboard that appears.
When editing, the following options appear.
- Button. Encapsulate the text in a button. It will show the text in a new window when we press it. A button with the image of a yellow sandwich will appear on the page. We can revert the button to a text box by holding down the button and selecting Button again.
- Layer. Choose the layer where this text will be placed to later be able to display or hide all annotations of this layer.
- Delete. Removes the text box.
When we are editing the text, a bar appears above the keyboard with several options for the text, such as font size, background color, text color, etc.
Presets
If we press and hold the T button on the annotations toolbar, the presets menu appears. This way we can configure the characteristics of font, size, color, etc. so we don't have to configure it again each time.
Create a preset
To create a preset select New Preset and then New. A new window will open so that you can set various text tool options such as the font, color, size, text alignment, etc.
Select Last Used tool so that the settings of the new preset will be the same as the last text tool you have used. In this case no window will open and the preset will be displayed in the list.
Edit a preset
To delete a preset select the Edit presets... option from the menu. Once the window appears, tap the information button that appears to the right of the row of the preset to be modified.
Delete a preset
To delete a preset select the Edit presets... option from the menu. Once the window is displayed, slide your finger from right to left over the preset to be deleted.
